Zen Den at Burning Man - Virtual Decompression

Virtual Decompression is an online interactive collaborative event based on the Ten Principles of Burning Man.

For many years now, London Decompression has been an event for up to 2000 participants and fuelled by creativity, music, and costumes, hosted at a variety of London venues. Decompression events started off as a way for Burning Man participants to meet up in the months after the big event and rekindle some of that burner magic. Decompressions have become as important as both Burning Man and the many regional events that now exist, and are very much burn events in their own right, with huge amounts of work going into them and participants travelling from far and wide to attend.

The global pandemic might have temporarily stopped burn events in their tracks, but burners still need outlets for their creativity, and there is more need than ever to find ways to connect and reconnect with each other.

So the concept of V-Com was born: a virtual, online Decompression. No longer constrained by geography, contributers based anywhere the world are invited to bring and share their art, music, workshops and all sorts of wonders we cannot yet imagine. V-Com’s global reach means participants can meet up with and explore with friends - old and new - living in other coutries. V-Com is hosted on the SparkleVerse platform. SparkleVerse is a giant interactive world of concentrated creativity. The V-Com map features places built by participants – sharing art, music, performances, experiences and more. As you wander around, you adventure your senses, experience human connection and get loved up on magic moments.
